Happy Martin Luther King Day! While this is obviously not a British holiday, I still have to take a moment to do one of my favorite things ever: make you all read the I Have A Dream speech. If you haven’t ever read it before, it is absolutely worth the few minutes of your day.
Here is a link to a transcript. It isn’t long. If you are thinking of not clicking on that…you should probably just do it.
Today I also met up with Polly! (For anyone who doesn’t know, Polly moved from the UK to the US for a few years in elementary school. We were all so sad when she left to go back to the UK.) We had so much to catch up on, and aside from a visit so brief that it doesn’t count as a reunion about 2 years ago, we guessed it’s been about 10 years since we last saw each other! Ten-year-old us never could have expected that we’d be sitting in a London coffeeshop discussing Primark and cultural differences so many years later!
